Contest Mechanics:

ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to all photographers—rofessional and non-professional.

THEME
The theme of the contest is “Vintage Weekend”, which is also the theme of the next issue of Sidetrip. While still being consistent with the given theme, the entry must capture a candid shot of a person or a group of people (at least 1/4 of the photo) enjoying a perfect weekend destination or activity in the Philippines, specifically in Batangas, Laguna, Intramuros, Corregidor, Quezon, or Tagaytay.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Entries should not have been submitted to previous contest.
- Entries must be in full color, at least 1024 x 768 pixels (portrait), minimum of 300 dpi, and in JPEG format. Filename should follow this format: surname_firstname.JPG
- Digital adjustments are limited to minor cleaning work, levels, curves, color, saturation and contrast work. Sharpening must be done sparingly.
- Entries should be submitted via e-mail to sidetripmag@gmail.com or picomanila@gmail.com with contact details (name, age, address and mobile number) and a short description of the photo in 50 words or less. Subject line should read “WEEKEND COVER CONTEST”.
- Participants can send as many entries as they want. Each entry should be sent separately.- Submission of entries is from June 1 to July 15.

JUDGING & ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
The photographs will be judged based on the following criteria:
Originality (25%)
Photographic quality (25%)
Composition (25%)
Consistency with the theme (25%)

The contest winner will be notified via e-mail. The winning entry will be used for the cover of Sidetrip’s Weekend issue, which will be out by August 2009. The winner will also be receiving a surprise gift pack.

Prizes may be claimed within sixty (60) days from receipt of notification at Pico Integrated Marketing Agency, 3/F MDCC Building Matanzas St, Palanan, Makati City.

*Employees of Pico Integrated Marketing Agency as well as their relatives up to the 2nd degree of consanguinity are disqualified to join.

**Submitted entries may be used by Pico Integrated Marketing Agency for all advertising, advocacy and promotion activities, including but not limited to photo exhibits without liability on the part of and fee to be paid for by the contest organizers.
